Geocaching

So I'm not sure what made me look it up but last night I did a little search for some local geocaching locations. If your not sure what geocaching is click on provided video.

I found one located in the parking lot of the gym me and Tony go to! It was late (around 9:45) but Tony said we should give it a shot. Unfortunately we didn't find one in that location but it was pretty dark and I wouldn't be surprised if it was there and we just missed it. A bit disapointed we returned home with plans to go out the next day.

After a great breakfast of we headed to Walmart and bought ourselves a hand-held GPS unit to begin our adventure. So that we wouldn't have to drive all over town I located 3 geocachs located along trails at Sandy Bottom Nature park, a 456 acre nature reserve. After struggling with how to input the coordinates, we finally got a course plot for treasure hunting! We discovered 2 out of the 3 caches we had set out for and I couldn't have been more excited. We left a treasure in both caches but just took one out of the first one we came to. One of the cach containers was a really cute squirrel in a log. The one treasure we took was that awesome orange dinosaur :D

Just some pics I took over the past 3 weekends. We've had snow every single one of them! My poor car is tired of being frozen to the street. Sucks trying to back out when your tires wont turn.

Just acquired some new fish for my tank. I wanted to try something simple but something that gets along with others. I went with a simple set of 3 schooling guppies called "Tequila sunrise guppies". Just to spice thing up a bit I added a "Black Mystery Snail." I really love the snail, hes actually pretty cute, and every time you look in the tank hes somewhere new. When it comes to the guppies, at first I thought something was wrong with them. When I turned the light on the other night they were just laying on the bottom. After some research I learned thats how they sleep, and they do actually sleep all night like humans.

Last Sunday Tony, Matt, Jess, and I went to Busch Gardens. At first I wasn't really thrilled about the idea because I'm not the biggest fan of roller coasters, but as you can tell from the picture I got over it. Tony even won be a stuff animal at one of the carney games. I was so excited!

Weekend Getaway!

So with Tony getting his new job and me moving to a new store, we thought we would take Saturday night and take a mini vacation. We usually stick close to town but we thought we would take a little drive and check into something a little further up north. We looked online at a few places and Tony finally found Kingsmill Resort and Spa about 35 mins away in Williamsberg. I adore Williamsberg anyway so it sounded like a great idea.
The place was AMAZING! Just the drive onto the resort was beautiful and enclosed by trees as it opened up into a great view of the James river. When we checked in we were given our room keys and directed on a map to our room which was actually a drive from the hotel office. Sense it was a resort the rooms were made up of buildings kind of like condos in sections along the resort with a beautiful golf course running straight through it. The back porch of our room actually opened up to a view of one of the holes on the smaller course. After only being there for less then a hour we were already planning a trip back so we would be able to stay longer.

As soon as we put our bags away we headed back up to the main house to have a few drinks and enjoy the view from the patio. There must have been a wedding that afternoon as well because there was a very  loud and drunk wedding party on the upper patio lol.  I couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening. : )

So a friend of ours that lives in the apartment building behind us is moving. They had a house plant they wouldn't be able to take with them so I gave it a new home. To my best knowledge its a Rubber tree plant. I did some research on its care and it dosn't seem to difficult. I love having new living things in the house to take care of. I named it Rossco the Rubber tree plant :)

I got attacked by a evil grey goose while I was taking pictures of the female ducks, now that was funny! Tony was just watching laughing at me as the goose was chasing me away. : ) We also went to the Langley Air Show here which was really fun! I LOVE seeing all the jets and watching the displays of complete air superiority of the United States Air Force! : ) Other then that been working ALOT, and really looking forward to coming home at the end of the month and seeing all my friends. I miss you guys so much! Oh and Ray if your reading this I know Karlas like the "new girl" and all but your still MY sugar daddy! : ) *hugs*

So woke up this morning to this! Its amazing, I can't believe its snowing here! The last time I was somewhere when it snowed was back in Visalia years ago when I was alot younger. I got up when Tony got up to leave to work this morning around 6:30 and looked out the window and freaked out. I started getting dressed singing "Its snowing, its snowing!" You have to remember hes from New York so snow isnt that big of a deal, but I didnt care I think its awesome! EDIT: I just went outside to check the mail (more of a excuse to walk in the snow) and couldnt even do that cause the key hole is frozen and i cant get a key in. I just want to roll around in it like a little kid.

My poor babys all covered in snow burrrrrrrrrr..........

The complex looks so much prettier with snow on everything.
