Last Sunday Tony, Matt, Jess, and I went to Busch Gardens. At first I wasn't really thrilled about the idea because I'm not the biggest fan of roller coasters, but as you can tell from the picture I got over it. Tony even won be a stuff animal at one of the carney games. I was so excited!

Weekend Getaway!

So with Tony getting his new job and me moving to a new store, we thought we would take Saturday night and take a mini vacation. We usually stick close to town but we thought we would take a little drive and check into something a little further up north. We looked online at a few places and Tony finally found Kingsmill Resort and Spa about 35 mins away in Williamsberg. I adore Williamsberg anyway so it sounded like a great idea.
The place was AMAZING! Just the drive onto the resort was beautiful and enclosed by trees as it opened up into a great view of the James river. When we checked in we were given our room keys and directed on a map to our room which was actually a drive from the hotel office. Sense it was a resort the rooms were made up of buildings kind of like condos in sections along the resort with a beautiful golf course running straight through it. The back porch of our room actually opened up to a view of one of the holes on the smaller course. After only being there for less then a hour we were already planning a trip back so we would be able to stay longer.

As soon as we put our bags away we headed back up to the main house to have a few drinks and enjoy the view from the patio. There must have been a wedding that afternoon as well because there was a very  loud and drunk wedding party on the upper patio lol.  I couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening. : )

New member of the Family

So a friend of ours that lives in the apartment building behind us is moving. They had a house plant they wouldn't be able to take with them so I gave it a new home. To my best knowledge its a Rubber tree plant. I did some research on its care and it dosn't seem to difficult. I love having new living things in the house to take care of. I named it Rossco the Rubber tree plant :)

I know I haven't post in awhile so thought I would finally throw up some pics of what I've been up to lately.
I got attacked by a evil grey goose while I was taking pictures of the female ducks, now that was funny! Tony was just watching laughing at me as the goose was chasing me away. : ) We also went to the Langley Air Show here which was really fun! I LOVE seeing all the jets and watching the displays of complete air superiority of the United States Air Force! : ) Other then that been working ALOT, and really looking forward to coming home at the end of the month and seeing all my friends. I miss you guys so much! Oh and Ray if your reading this I know Karlas like the "new girl" and all but your still MY sugar daddy! : ) *hugs*

So woke up this morning to this! Its amazing, I can't believe its snowing here! The last time I was somewhere when it snowed was back in Visalia years ago when I was alot younger. I got up when Tony got up to leave to work this morning around 6:30 and looked out the window and freaked out. I started getting dressed singing "Its snowing, its snowing!" You have to remember hes from New York so snow isnt that big of a deal, but I didnt care I think its awesome! EDIT: I just went outside to check the mail (more of a excuse to walk in the snow) and couldnt even do that cause the key hole is frozen and i cant get a key in. I just want to roll around in it like a little kid.

My poor babys all covered in snow burrrrrrrrrr..........

The complex looks so much prettier with snow on everything.

Maybe snow?

Relaxed

I finally finished a few projects I had been working on sense around Christmas. Even though it was just a "paint by number" painting I found it very relaxing. I love to paint but I'm not the best artist in the world, so if I can just fill in the numbered spaces I'm all for that. : )

The second project was a model plane that Tony had got me. I love all the detail and time it takes to put one of these together. I have one more Navy plane I'm working on now and I think I will take the time to paint this one as well.

Well my 21st birthday has came and went and before anyone asks no I didnt get terribly drunk :P I had to work the next morning even if I wanted to. It was actually a very relaxing day. It began with Tony bringing me home a really cute cake and a flower which I thought was SO sweet. We went down to one of my favorite places in the whole world, the park down in Newport News by the water. ( I could spend all day there) I pretty much just relaxed the rest of the day and played some wow. For dinner we went to chillis and I got myself some ribs that really hit the spot, they were so good. Going to Chillis made me miss home though, reminded me of all the saterday nights all my friends from back home would get together and get dinner there after work. I miss you guys!

Wonders of the Deep

Tony and I took a trip to the aquarium down in Virginia Beach on Sunday. It was a bit cold and rainy but I really had a great time. I love animals so the aquarium is one of my favorite places in VA. I also love the "touch tank" they have with sting rays inside. The otters were also adorable, there always doing something silly and are major show offs.

This one was kinda blurry but it was hard to get a good picture of them through the glass.
I had never seen a sea horse that close before, they were pretty amazing
.

It just seemed right

I just can't stop watching this video, it combines my love for furries/fursuits and techno *big smiles* I just wish I could dance like that.

Couldn't stop watching this one either :)The goat is kinda creepy though on the stairs but I think thats what they were going for.

Merry Christmas!

  • Dec. 22nd, 2008 at 12:27 PM

Wow, I havn't posted in almost a month. I guess I've just been so busy with all the holiday doings and working alot of hours at the mall. Work is crazy right now, people are just nuts!. I do get a small satisfaction from telling people that we don't have any Wii's though because there crazy to think they could find one this close to Christmas, I know its a little cynical but "meh".
I did get all my Christmas shopping done early though this year and everything for Tony is wrapped and under the tree expect for the stuff that will go in his stocking. I'm really excited about our first Christmas together our tree looks really cute even thought we really don't have many ornaments for it yet. :)

The first week in December Tony and I went to his company Christmas party, it was nice to meet a lot of the people from work he talks about. It was also fun to dress up for the night, I don't think I've worn a fancy dress sense prom in high school.

Angel Tree Child

I know I don't have to many blog readers but I encourage anyone who can to at least take a look at this program. Its called Angel Tree and what it does is provide a Christmas gift to a child who otherwise would not receive one. They have a display and sign up at the mall where I work and I would pass it every time I went home thinking I couldn't afford to do something like that. Then the other day I went ahead and looked into it. I chose a 7 year old girl and shopping for her was so much fun! I got her a cute outfit and shoes from Old Navy and some toys. I need to go drop it off at the mall today (even though I really hate going there when I don't have to work, I'm there enough as it is)

Sense me and Tony already celebrated a early Thanksgiving with his parents in NY we had our own "little" Thanksgiving here. We had Matt over and the three of us enjoyed some delicious food! There must have been enough food to serve 10 people and there was only the three of us. I even made a tiny turkey center piece for the table : ) As I post the boys are out in the living room watching football.
I dread having to go into work tomorrow (Black Friday) Working a 10 hour shift on the craziest shopping day of the year *rolls eyes* I just want it to be over with already.

Halloween/Down time

Been really falling behind on my post as of recently so have a little catching up to do.
Halloween came and passed and I did exactly what I knew I would. Work Halloween night at the mall with all the tricker-treating kiddies. It wasn't all that bad and I didn't have to do any real work besides hand out candy and continue to laugh at the same joke over and over again. "So ....are you handing out video games this time" "Ha ha ha your so funny......no" *rolls eyes* I did get a chance to carve a pumpkin though :)

Ever have one of those weeks where all you do is work and get home late and then work again? Well me and Tony were both having one of those weeks so we took a little mini vacation with our buddy Matt. We took up a room at a really nice hotel about 15 min from home for a few days. It was great just to get away even if it wasnt far from home. We even ordered room service and watched Wall-e.
